Trading & Transport

This represents upcoming functionality in ULAND, and is subject to change.

Please see our Roadmap for further details.

Trading & Transport is the lifeblood of the ULAND economy.

Once you have amassed Resources, you may wish to sell them in-game on the Marketplace to other Players or trade them for valuable items.

➡️ If a Player is Harvesting Resources from a Mine or Farm, then these Resources will be sent to the Warehouse connected to the Business.

⬅️ If a Player is purchasing Resources in the Marketplace, these Resources must be sent to the Player's Base or Warehouse for Hero to collect.

Trade Routes

In Land Explorer mode, by virtue of Players owning Hex Plots adjacent to each other, they have automatically established Trade Routes with one another. This enables any Players on the same Trade Route to trade Resources with one another on the Marketplace.

Transporting Resources through Trade Routes is subject to a 💵 Border Tax and ⏱️ Transport Time.

Transport Time and Border Taxes are based upon the amount of Hex Plots the Resources are required to Travel through to reach the Warehouse based upon the shortest route to its destination.

The entire Border Tax is equally distributed amongst each Owner of every Hex Plot involved in the Trade Route and paid to them as $XPLR Token.

Border Tax Calculation:

Number of Hex Plots Travelled (Amount of Resources to Transport Factor) = Border Tax

For instance, a Player's Resources needs to travel across 10 Hex Plots to reach their Warehouse, and each Hex Plot costs 10 $XPLR and five minutes to traverse, the sum of the Border Taxes and Transport Time would equal 100 $XPLR and 50 minutes.

In this fashion, an element of strategy is involved in all construction & expansion, even with Trade Routes to become a mercantile lord!

Hex Plots that Span Borders

Hex plots can span across multiple countries or state borders in some cases. In these situations, the percentage of the Border Tax is honoured to the Owner of the State (T2) or Country (T1) for which the majority of the Hex Plot’s land area resides in.

Crossing Seas and Waterways

Crossing seas & waterways incur a higher tax.
